Chapters of Grand Knights are regional associations made up of delegates from multiple local councils within a specific diocese or geographic area. In these chapters, the officers are typically comprised of and led by each local council’s Grand Knight.
Purpose & Activities
The Chapter provides a direct forum for local councils to coordinate with State Officers and State Directors. They frequently collaborate on statewide charity drives, such as supporting Habitat for Humanity, youth scholarship funds, and seminarian support.
Affiliated Councils
Serving member councils across the region and the state, the chapters keep local leaders aligned with both the Maryland State Council and Supreme Council directives.
Though the Chapters primarily serve as a forum for the exchange of information between Chapter Officers, Past Grand Knights, current Grand Knights and the State Deputy and Program Officers of the Maryland State Council, any Brother Knight or Lovely Lady can attend the meetings.
Many Chapters have time-honored traditions such as a members’ Shrimp Feast, yearly Memorial Mass, adult Christmas Party, Honored Guests’ Night, and a Ladies’ Night, just to name a few.
